Tender beef strips and chewy noodles tossed in a sticky, savory-sweet sauce for a quick, flavorful weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 400 g / 14 oz beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced

  • 300 g / 10 oz noodles (egg noodles, udon, or spaghetti)

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce

  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional)

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions or cilantro

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions; drain.

  2. Whisk soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and honey for the sticky sauce.

  3. Heat oil; sauté garlic and onion 1–2 min.

  4. Add beef; cook 3–4 min until browned.

  5. Add bell pepper; cook 2 min.

  6. Pour in sauce; toss to coat beef and vegetables.

  7. Add noodles; toss 1–2 min until heated and coated.

  8. Season with black pepper; garnish and serve.

Notes

  1. Slice beef thinly against the grain. Cook noodles al dente. Adjust sweetness and spice to taste. Avoid overcrowding pan for proper browning.
