12 slider rolls (about 12 ounces / 340 g)
1 pound (450 g) thinly sliced deli roast beef
8 slices provolone cheese (about 6 ounces / 170 g)
1 cup (150 g) sliced onions
1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
4 tablespoons (56 g) unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon (5 g) garlic powder
1 teaspoon (5 g) dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon (3 g) onion powder
2 cups (480 ml) low-sodium beef broth
1 tablespoon (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon (3 g) garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon (1 g) black pepper

Instructions

  • Sauté onions in olive oil until softened.

  • Layer rolls with cheese, roast beef, onions, and more cheese.

  • Brush tops with seasoned butter.

  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) covered 15 minutes, then uncovered 5–7 minutes.

  • Simmer beef broth and seasonings for au jus. Serve warm.
