This garlic Parmesan spaghetti is creamy, rich, and flavorful—a comforting pasta dish better than many restaurant versions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 400 g / 14 oz spaghetti

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 240 ml / 1 cup heavy cream

  • 100 g / 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

  • 60 ml / ¼ cup reserved pasta cooking water

Instructions

  • Cook spaghetti until al dente; reserve ¼ cup pasta water and drain.

  • Melt butter in skillet; sauté garlic 1–2 min.

  • Add cream; simmer 2–3 min until slightly thickened.

  • Gradually whisk in Parmesan until smooth.

  • Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.

  • Toss spaghetti in sauce; add reserved water if needed.

  • Garnish with parsley; serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh Parmesan for best flavor. Avoid overcooking garlic. Reserve pasta water to adjust sauce consistency. Serve immediately for optimal creaminess.
